This series was particularly impactful to me as I started my role at the Baltimore City Health Department. Many people do not get the opportunity to see the Needle Exchange Van unless they are requiring services.
I appreciate this photo series because it humanizes substance use disorder and opioid addiction. I hope that these photographs provide insight for people who do not know much about the experience of addiction and seeking help.
